This video is a three-minute overview presented by Sam ‘Ohu Gon, Senior Scientist and Cultural Advisor for The Nature Conservancy of Hawai’i’. It describes the beautiful arrangements, wreaths and Christmas tree alternatives that can be made with locally grown flowers and foliage.
The video also describes locally grown Christmas trees. Not only are tropical evergreen trees available, at high elevations in Hawai’i it is possible to grow fir and cedar trees, the exact same fragrant Christmas trees imported from the Pacific Northwest.
